Penny for Your Thoughts (Nike Zoom LWP)

We have recently bombarded you with plenty of music and funnies on the blog here and I know there are plenty wondering "where's all the sneaker news". I have to say that in recent history I have been quite out of the sneakerhead loop. It saddens my heart to even say that BUT FRET NOT MY SNEAKER AFICIONADOS for I come to you bearing sneaker news!! New SNEAKER NEWS!! Penny Hardaway and Lebron James are probably the only athletes who have a line of sneakers that have been able to compete with Michael Jordan's over the years. And The fact that they are all owned by Nike brand says so much more. Today I want to talk about quite possibly the best new sneaker release of the year. My focus today is on the newest ode to Penny: The Nike Zoom Rookie LWP. These shoes have have taken the sneaker community by storm and created some noise in the sneaker game. A hybrid shoe taking bits and pieces of shoes that Penny has worn over his career its sleek design and clean finish makes a good look and an easy purchase for sneaker fanatic and occasional sneaker lover alike. With the first release occurring this past Thursday with the Pearl (Glow in the Dark) LWP quickstrike the shoes have started the 4th quarter of the sneaker year of quite nicely. The next color way to watch out for is the Binary Blue due out Nov 12th according to a tweet I received from @Nikestore. These are just two of the many colorways expected to make their debut this year and moving forward into 2012. So look out for all of them. I know for sure I'll be adding a few pairs of these to my collection along with some classic Foamposites as well. I have to say I am really excited about these releases and I care what you think too. I want to hear peoples thoughts on the shoes and whether or not you like them so COMMENT!! We will have plenty more sneaker news coming your way.. so until next tme.. ENJOI!

Video Time: Chris Webby - Webster's Laboratory (Official Video Uncensored)

White boys who can actually rap that are following the impossible footsteps of Eminem like Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly and now this new cat Chris Webby really illustrate the beauty of the genre. I stumbled over this dude while looking for new music on DatPiff.com a few months back and I've been following since. Yes he's from the burbs of Connecticut and proclaims it proudly but hes already been featured in XXL magazine and dont be shocked if hes a Freshman this or next year. Chris Webby gets my stamp of approval I respect this dude's grind peep his new vid (MTV has already picked up) off his most recent mixtape Webster's Laboratory! #Webby #CT

"It's Boogie Baby"

SAH!!! For those of you who have been with Visions of Quest for a while you may know very well who Sah RIl is and what he means to us over here at Visions. If you don't that's ok too. We will give you a quick crash coarse on exactly who Sah Ril aka Andre patron aka Sah Boogie aka August Traci aka Brown Buddha (Yes these are all real aliases for him) really is. He is one of the most talented lyricist to ever get on a microphone let alone come out of New Jersey. He is a legend in my eyes and once you get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with his musical catalog he will be one to you as well. We here at Visions are simply anticipating the release of his next work Back Where the Pain is 3: Art, Fear and Loathing. So I was excited to hear that one of my favorite tracks from Sah would be featured on the release. Servant's Theme is really one of my favorite Sah tracks ever so I'm truly excited about this. I don't even want to type anymore because I want you guys to get right to the track. I will say that I hope you guys can enjoy his music as much as I do. So with no further delay I resent to you guys Servant's Theme. ENJOI!

The Cyph

It's that time of year again folks. Black entertainment television had its one spark of hope. On a channel that I (and this is a personal choice) choose not to watch there was the now infamous BET Cyphers. The Buzz from this years Cyphers were aplenty. The most talked about being the Shady 2.0 Cypher featuring Yelawolf, SlaghterHouse (Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, and Royce Da 5'9) and Eminem. Noetheless, there were other Cyphers and so I figure why not post it for all of you who, like me, didn't/don't watch the Nig.. I mean the BET Awards. There were some strong verses and some weak ones like every cypher. Some new guys that got an opportunity to showcase like Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T., Dom Kennedy and one of my new favorites Meek Mills. Overall it was a good showing and I enjoyed them (If not for the lyrics then for the utter hilarity of who was rapping [see: Chris brown]). Soooo Here you guys go! ENJOI!

Cypher 1 (Big K.R.I.T., Tech N9NE, Machine Gun Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, and B.O.B)

Cypher 2 ( Reed Da Villain, 2 Chainz, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris)

Cypher 3 (Lady of Rage, Blind Fury, Dom Kennedy, and Skillz)

Cypher 4 MMG (Wale, Pill, Stalley, Meek Mills, and Rick Ross)

Cypher 5 (Nitty Scott, Lacrae, Soprano, and Estelle)

Cypher 6 (Ace Hood, Kevin, McCall, Tyga, and Chris Brown)

Cypher 7 Shady Records (Yelawolf, SlaughterHouse [Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, Royce da 5'9] and Eminem)

SHADY 2.0 CYPHER 2011 BET HIP HOP AWARDS

Greatest Cypher in the history of BET! I was speechless for a good hour after Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, and the one and only Slim Shady murdered TV sets. Eminem's verse alone? omg If you missed this last nite, smh to your existence! Enjoy Folks! #Shady
