One of my biggest heroes passed away today! The legendary scholar, poet, activist, writer Amiri Baraka who marched with both Dr. King & Malcolm X is one of the most influential African Americans of the 20th Century. I had the honor and privilege of performing with him a few years ago at Penn State! Speaking with him afterward and absorbing his profound wisdom was one of my greatest moments living!
