Okay Okay...shouts to Sdot for beating me to the Miss Badu post LoL..I consider it an excellent segue for my salute to another woman who truly had no problem with exhibiting her passions and her thoughts/opinions on society's outlook on fashion, art, music, and sexuality. Grace Jones...she needs no explanation. Everyone on the planet should know that she marches to the beat of her own drum, and for that, she will forever be feared, admired, maybe even ridiculed, but always.....respected.

This woman was never afraid to literally strip down naked: no masks, no layers of what ‘should be’...in order to grab the world by the balls (can I say that? LoL)…and say, “Here I am. Behold an individual”. Grace Jones was never afraid to be herself. To be TRUE…to herself. Shaved heads, suggestive poses, profanity in that one-of-a kind guttural European accent, full frontal nudity….for no other reason than because she wanted to.
