Kofi Kingston Won & So Did The Culture

Professional wrestling has played a major role in my life and I havent missed a Wrestlemania in forever. When the push for Kofi Kingston to become WWE champion began a few months ago I didnt know what to do with myself. Besides the fact that Kofi is an 11 Year Veteran of WWE. Besides the fact that he is a member of one of the most popular, entertaining stables in WWE history 'The New Day' with Xavier Woods & Big E. Besides the fact he is a multiple Intercontinental & Tag Team Champion. Kofi never competed for the big one. His victory over Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 35 made him the 1st African born champion (He was born in Ghana) in the history of the company. Yes, The Rock, Booker T, Ron Simmons, and Mark Henry all held world titles. But none were as in-tune with the Hip Hop and mainstream Black Youth like Kofi. At Walemania hosted by Wale this year, Kofi received a standing Ovation because the crowd sensed one their own was finally going to get the crown. It was 11 years overdue (CM Punk's words, mine too) but it finally happened. Kofi won the company's biggest honor and so did the rest of The Culture. *Throws up a Black Fist* *Makes The Wakanda Forever X*
